New York Knicks star Kristaps Porzingis has been rocking a new look to accompany his new and improved game this season. The Knicks big man has been playing with an arm sleeve on at least one arm: the one on the left is to protect a scratch on his forearm and the one on his shooting arm is meant to protect his troublesome elbow which has caused him some problems this season.

However, Porzingis looks set to ditch the sleeve on his shooting arm going forward given the lack of protection it ultimately provided.

After a hot start to the season in terms of his shooting, Porzingis has somewhat predictably fallen back down to earth over his last couple of games. He put up just 20 points on 7-of-21 shooting against the Cavs, and followed that up with 22 points on 8-of-19 against the Jazz. However, he’s still averaging an impressive 28.9 points per game on the season.

To what extent that arm sleeve factored into his mini-shooting slump remains to be seen, but Porzingis felt it hampered his shooting enough to decide to get rid of it altogether. Porzingis will have the opportunity to get his shooting back on track against the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.
