Having spent five meaningful seasons as part of the New York Knicks, retired four-time All-Star Latrell Sprewell remains to be a prominent name in the history of the organization.

The 48-year-old, who was with the Knicks between 1998 and 2003, was recently asked about the idea of re-joining his old team as a consultant, to which he responded in a very positive manner.

“Absolutely, it feels good,” Sprewell said, per Steve Popper of Newsday. “New York is like a second home to me. To be able to come back and interact with the guys and be around old friends, old teammates, it’s definitely a great feeling. I’m grateful for it.

“If they ask me, I’m definitely open to it, for sure. Anything I can do to have these guys get better, I’m willing to do that for sure.”

The Knicks have a very promising, young core that would benefit from the vast knowledge of a guy like Sprewell. He definitely understands how it's like being in the limelight and playing for one of the most unforgiving fan bases in the NBA, so he will certainly have a thing or two to teach the Knicks' young guns.

Sprewell was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in 1992 as the 24th overall pick. He would spend his first six season with the Dubs, prior to being traded to the Knicks in 1999. He was then moved by the Knicks in 2003 to the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he would spend the final two seasons of his career.

Sprewell boasts career averages of 18.3 points, 1.2 three-pointers, 4.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.4 blocks.
