New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson suffered a fractured right foot against the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania. This is a huge blow for the Knicks and Mitchell who was just in his fourth game back after suffering a broken foot.

Robinson has been averaging 8.5 points and 8.4 rebounds for the Knicks throughout the season. He’s one of the key players in the impressive and shocking run that the Knicks have been on this year. The Knicks are currently fifth in the Eastern Conference Standings with the record of 23-22. Led by head coach Tom Thinodeau, they’re certainly in the hunt to make the playoffs this year. However, losing Robinson definitely stings moving forward.

The recovery time of a fractured foot (depending on the severity of course) is about six to eight weeks, without surgery. There’s no question that the Knicks, who were rumored to be courting Andre Drummond in the buyout market, will miss Robinson. With the playoffs starting on May 22, it will be tough to see a timeline when the center gets back within the regular season. In his absence, expect Nerlens Noel to start in the five with Taj Gibson takes the responsibility of being the team’s backup center.

Moreover, it doesn’t help the Knicks that the Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics and defending Eastern Conference champions Miami Heat are closely behind them in the standings. But in fairness to the Knicks, they play hard every game and tip their hat on defense where they rank number three overall in the league. One of the best reasons to watch the Knicks as well is the emergence of All-Star Julius Randle, who is currently averaging 23.0 points, 10.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists a game.
