The New York Knicks remain hot post-All-Star break. They're currently 21-21, good for 6th in the East. The Knicks have the 3rd best Defensive Rating, despite starting center Mitchell Robinson having missed almost a month with a broken hand.

In a recent tweet, Robinson expressed that he's feeling good and ready to be back.

This is exciting news for Knicks fans who are hoping the team can remain in playoff contention. Nerlens Noel has stepped up valiantly in his absence, but the issue comes with the Knicks depth.  Noel is an above-average backup center, but Taj Gibson is a well below-average backup center. Robinson's defensive presence especially is much-needed with NY struggling to string together victories as of late.

Robinson, who is 22 years old, is a contributor now, but also a valuable member of the young core. As a second-round pick, this is the last year Robinson is under contract and he will be a restricted free agent in the offseason. His return will be invaluable for the Knicks and other teams looking to find out his value for a potential contract in the offseason.

New York is steadily in the playoff race and with the return of Robinson soon, it's going to help Tom Thibodeau's team immensely.
