The New York Knicks have just announced that center Nerlens Noel will not return versus the Philadelphia 76ers. Noel is dealing with right knee soreness and the Knicks are not going to take any chances.

The Knicks made this decision at halftime. New York leads the depleted 76ers, 58-44.

Noel was having a nice game, he was 2-3 from the field with six points and two rebounds in only 12 minutes of action.

The Knicks are playing some great basketball recently. They even took down the defending world champion Milwaukee Bucks last week. Getting guys healthy is their biggest concern. Right now it looks like the Knicks will easily work their way into the playoffs. Their success on the season will be determined by what they do in the playoffs and they're going to want to make sure that everybody is healthy.

Noel on the season has only played in three games due to injuries. The big man has looked good when he's been on the court for the Knicks. He's averaging 8.3 rebounds per game and doing exactly what they need him to do.

The Knicks are hoping that Noel doesn't have anything wrong with his knee and it's just some soreness is flaring up. New York should be able to take care of this one as Philadelphia is missing their three best players. They will look to add another win. When healthy they can very well be one of the best teams in basketball.
