The New York Knicks have acquired point guard Emmanuel Mudiay in a three-team trade with the Denver Nuggets and the Dallas Mavericks, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The deal would send point guard Devin Harris to the Nuggets and sharp-shooting forward Doug McDermott to the Mavs, who will also acquire a second-round pick via Denver, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Denver and New York will swap second-round picks in this three-way trade, as the Nuggets will get the Knicks' 2018 second-round pick via the L.A. Clippers and the Knicks will get Denver's second-round pick via the Portland Trail Blazers, per Wojnarowski.

The Knicks will have yet another point guard in hand alongside the core of veterans Jarrett Jack and Trey Burke, and rookie Frank Ntilikina, who they have worked to acclimate to the NBA game for the span of this season. According to ESPN's Ian Begley, New York was looking for young, promising, athletic bodies to fill out their roster.

At 23-32 this season, with not much to play for after their unicorn Kristaps Porzingis tore his ACL earlier this week, the Knicks will make an emphasis on trotting their young core out there and develop them over the last 27 games of the season.

Dallas is finally parting ways with Harris, who has spent his entire career in Big D and will see what it's like to play at the Mile High City on a weekly basis this time around.

The Mavs will get McDermott in return, following the mold of big-man shooters that have made this franchise so successful during the last couple of decades.
