In light of the recent agreement between the Portland Trail Blazers and hybrid guard Archie Goodwin, a player that the New York Knicks had their eye on, the organization could look to Trey Burke and veteran Jarrett Jack to fill out their roster, according to ESPN's Ian Begley.

Both free agents have failed to get offers from team in this arid offseason market, but could land a spot at the point guard position in the near future.

Burke has been working out for the Minnesota Timberwolves and could potentially net a spot in the Big Apple if he finds himself the odd man out from the bunch.

The Michigan standout boasted the best shooting numbers of his career, but saw a mere 12.3 points per game with the Washington Wizards. His career field goal percentage is 39 percent, a reason that has kept his minutes limited since leaving the Utah Jazz.

Jack is a cagey veteran that has played for seven teams in his 12 years in the league, making only two appearances for the New Orleans Pelicans after suffering a torn meniscus, which ended his 2016-17 season.

The Georgia Tech standout was coming off a season-ending ACL tear in 2015-16, which has proved to be a reason for concern for most teams. He's 33 years old and could have a much tougher time overcoming these knee injuries than most young players, but has proven to be a great floor general with career averages of 11 points and 4.5 assists per game.
