The New York Knicks are renegotiating a deal with Reggie Bullock after they signed free agent forward Marcus Morris on Thursday.

Bullock originally agreed to a two-year deal worth $21 million, but the Knicks and his camp announced that they will rework the deal for an undisclosed health issue. Their decision to revisit the contract talks paved the way for the signing of Morris to a one-year, $15 million contract.

The Knicks have already used their available cap space this summer, but they still have their $4.8 million exception available, which will likely be offered to Bullock. It remains to be seen if Bullock's camp will agree to it or look for another offer elsewhere.

Begley of SNY also reported, though, that the Knicks and Bullock have mutual interest on finding a new agreement. The medical issue that forced the two parties to reconsider the initial agreement was not disclosed, but Begley pointed out that the six-year veteran has dealt with plantar fasciitis before.

Bullock is coming off the best season of his career after splitting last season between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Detroit Pistons. In 44 games with the Pistons, he averaged 12.1 points on top of 2.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. For the Lakers, he posted 9.3 points and 2.6 rebounds in 19 games, including 16 starts.
