The New York Knicks picked up their second win of the season with a monster performance from Julius Randle. Knicks fans, who have been tough on the young forward, showered him with praises after the 95-86 win over the previously undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers.

Randle notched the seventh triple-double of his career with 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. In the previous game, a surprise 130-110 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, the former Kentucky standout put on a similar line with 29 points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists.

After Randle's laudable showing, fans flocked to Twitter to take their Randle slander back.

One guy perfectly summarized the ever-so-fleeting sentiments of the Knicks faithful.

One fan, meanwhile, boldly proclaimed that Randle is better than Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James.

Some fans said Randle, who's averaging career-highs 23.7 points and 6.3 assists while adding 10.0 rebounds, is their early candidate for Most Improved Player of the Year.

Another Knicks follower believes the 26-year-old forward is out to avenge himself after several subpar seasons.

Finally, one believes that Randle will make his first All-Star Game this season.

Knicks fans are definitely a critical bunch and they are notorious for blasting their own players if they are performing badly (hello, Stephon Marbury!). But so far, Randle has been anything but bad, leading the Big Apple to a 2-2 record after back-to-back wins.

Julius Randle is expected to carry much of the load this season under new coach Tom Thibodeau, who is known to give his main guys heavy minutes.

The Knicks have a shot at extending their winning streak to three games on Friday against the Toronto Raptors.
