The odds currently don't favor the New York Knicks landing both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in free agency this summer, per BetOnline.ag.

The online betting site has Durant and Irving not playing together with the Knicks next season at -500, with odds of +300 on the two joining forces in Madison Square Garden. Both stars become unrestricted free agents on July 1 when they decline their 2019-20 player options with their respective teams. New York has cap space to sign both of them.

Durant and Irving have been linked to the Knicks for a long time now. However, the other team in New York has been generating a lot of buzz with KD and Kyrie, too.

That would be the Brooklyn Nets, who made the playoffs this season and could also open up enough cap space to sign two max players. Irving is from the New Jersey area and his former general manager — current New Orleans Pelicans executive David Griffin — said earlier in the season he thinks Irving would favor the Nets over the Knicks.

Many people around the league believe Irving and Durant are going to be a package deal this summer. If the Boston Celtics trade for Anthony Davis, though, the odds of Irving staying in Boston would dramatically increase. There has also been some noise lately that Durant may consider signing another one-plus-one deal with the Golden State Warriors.

Only time will tell if the Knicks will land the two superstars this summer. The fans in New York are hoping for the best.
