New York Knicks shooting guard Reggie Bullock is expected to miss at least one month of the regular season with an undisclosed medical issue, according to SNY's Ian Begley.

Bullock is fresh off signing a two-year deal with the Knicks for less than the $4.7 million room exception, the second of which is non-guaranteed.

The medical issue that caused the hiccup is still unclear, though Bullock has dealt with plantar fasciitis in the past.

Restructuring Bullock's deal paved the way for the Marcus Morris deal, who signed on the dotted line shortly after the marksman, inking a one-year, $15 million deal after backing out of a previous two-year, $20 million agreement with the San Antonio Spurs.

“With Reggie and Marcus we are adding two more versatile, hard-nosed and accomplished players to an already improved roster,” Knicks GM Scott Perry said of the signings. “We value both players' perimeter shooting and their strong presence.”

The Knicks failed to have the splashy summer they expected to have, instead signing a slew of two-year deals with free agents, preserving a level of flexibility for the 2020 free agency period. This will allow them to be more competitive than last season, when they mustered the worst overall record in the league, yet still struck out of a potential No. 1 overall pick.

The signings of Bullock and Wayne Ellington should bolster the team's shooting and help young players with the work ethic it takes to remain in the league. Both of these players have stuck in the league through their work ethic and shooting abilities — an aptitude that should only bode well for players to see in practice day after day.
