New York Knicks rookie RJ Barrett revealed that he is a big fan of New England Patriots superstar Tom Brady.

Barrett, who was drafted third overall in the 2019 NBA Draft, recently sat down with Steve Serby of the New York Post for an interview. When asked about the sports personalities that he is looking up to, the former Duke University standout admitted that he has strong admiration for Brady.

“I'm not gonna lie, I'm a huge Patriots fan, so I like Tom Brady,” Barrett said. “I like to watch the best in every sport, so definitely like Tom Brady or Tiger Woods, his comeback story, or even Usain Bolt. I look up to those guys just because they’re great.”

“Everybody always gets mad at me for being a Patriots fan (smile). I guess it’s ’cause they win all the time. I love the way Tom Brady approaches the game. He’s, like, what, 41? And he’s still winning titles, so I like that.”

Brady has led the Patriots to four Super Bowl appearances in the last five years — winning three of them, including last season's title — so it's no surprise to see Barrett idolize him.

Barrett will certainly look at Brady as a source of inspiration as he looks to turn the Knicks around. The 19-year-old already has lofty expectations for his career, and it surely helps to have figure like Brady as someone he can emulate.
