Enes Kanter of the New York Knicks has been known as one of the NBA funny guys, and he was back at it again Monday posting a video of a shot from deep that he missed terribly. In the video, he claims it is his first shot of the offseason.

Sports Illustrated can't see the difference between that shot, and his midseason shot though, as the caption says ā€œEnes Kanter is in midseason form.ā€

For Kanter, that shot is about midseason form. Last year he shot two three-pointers and missed both of them. He hasn't ever been one to take a ton of shots from deep, but the two previous years he had at least 21 attempts from deep.Ā He is 32-109 from long range in his career. The big question surroundingĀ Kanter now is what will happen next week. He has a player option for next year, but there have been some rumors that he might decline the option in hopes of getting LeBron James to sign with the Knicks.

For coach David Fizdale, he has already praised the Knicks big man, and when he was talking about what kind of players he wants on his team, it sure sounded a lot like Kanter.

ā€œLong and tough. But heā€™s gotta have an edge to him,ā€ Fizdale said on ESPN's Get Up!. ā€œI donā€™t want soft guys here. I donā€™t want cupcakes. I want guys that have an edge to them, that enjoy defending. That get joy out of locking teams down.ā€

Nowhere in there did he say a good three-point shooter, which is good for Kanter, because that isn't in his lists of strengths.
