Former New York Knicks point guard Stephon Marbury talked about the infamous Spike Lee snafu with reporters on at the premiere for his documentary called “A Kid From Coney Island.”

As pretty much everyone has, Marbury is siding with Lee over the Knicks:

“I mean, he just gotta go through a different door,” Marbury told Page Six. “But at the same time, I think Spike always deserved the red-carpet treatment, because he spent millions — probably $10 million — on floor seats going to the Garden all these years. I think they will figure it out.

“I think there has been enough talk and controversy about it that people will eventually try to figure it out.”

Lee was told he was using the wrong entrance for Monday’s game against the Houston Rockets. The director and die-hard Knicks fan has been using the same entrance for over 20 years, so he was confused why there was an issue.

Spike went on ESPN’s First Take on Tuesday and said he believes Knicks owner James Dolan has it out for him.

The Knicks are hoping former NBA agent Leon Rose can turn the franchise around. New York officially hired Rose on Monday, but the Lee incident took over national headlines.

New York will once again miss the playoffs. The 2012-13 season was the last time the Knicks had a winning record and made the postseason.
