New York Knicks forward Taj Gibson knows his team is struggling through the early stages of this season. His message on the situation is simple: stay focused and block out the noise.

Via Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic:

“Don’t worry about what people are saying,” Gibson said. “Don’t worry about outside noise, just stay focused. The bandwagon is empty. You have to be honest. It’s empty, but you have to stay focused. The only people you can rely on are the guys in here and the coaching staff. You can’t worry about all the nonsense.”

The Knicks are off to a terrible start to this season. Through their first 10 games, they were 2-8. At the end of that stretch, team officials held a press conference to address their shoddy play. Now, through 20 games, New York is 4-16. Clearly, those aren't the results that management had in mind.

New York's most recent loss came on Sunday, when they were defeated inside Madison Square Garden by the Boston Celtics, 113-104. There was no press conference from management this time around. The Knicks were actually leading into the latter stages of the game, but a series of four consecutive turnovers down the stretch spelled their demise:

“Tonight it was turnovers. Our turnovers sparked them,” Knicks coach David Fizdale said after Sunday's loss, via ESPN. “We had four straight turnovers and they capitalized on every one of them. When you have a lead, you gotta get shots on goal.”

The Knicks will look to rebound on Monday night, when they'll travel to Milwaukee for a matchup against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the mighty Bucks.
