The New York Knicks won their first game of the new NBA season and fans are already celebrating as if they won the championship.

The Knicks pulled off a gutsy, down-to-the-wire victory over the Boston Celtics in double overtime on Wednesday, salvaging what should've been a win already in regulation.

After the game, Knicks fans absolutely went nuts in sheer jubilation, even throwing shade at Tom Brady, Kevin Durant, and Trae Young. It's worth noting here that none of them play for the Celtics (via Complex).

For sure, the Knicks have arguably the most passionate fans in the NBA. The Madison Square Garden isn't widely considered The Mecca of Basketball for nothing. From the Willis Reed years to the Patrick Ewing era to the Carmelo Anthony stretch to the present, Knicks fans have always been loyal.

The Knicks endured absolutely terrible years in the past two decades, but their fans have stayed, hopelessly waiting for a resurgence. Well, they finally got it last season, as coach Tom Thibodeau brought back the squad to respectability. The core of Julius Randle, RJ Barrett, and Derrick Rose led the team to the NBA Playoffs for the first time in what felt like forever.

The Knicks will look for win no. 2 against the Orlando Magic on Friday. If they win, expect fans to slander Mickey Mouse.
