New York Knicks big man Mitchell Robinson might be looking for a bigger role as expressed in a now-deleted tweet. Head coach Tom Thibodeau holds the keys to Robinson's wishes but he's the subject has not been raised in their face-to-face discussions.

Per Ian Begley of SNY, Thibodeau shared that he's not into social media that much. And in his meetings with Robinson, the Knicks big man has not raised the matter to him.

“I really don’t pay attention to that stuff. And I’ve never coached through the media or social media or whatever that is. My conversations with him, that’s never come up.”

So far, Robinson is averaging 9.1 points and 8.4 rebounds across 29.6 minutes of action. While he gets a lot of playing time, most of his points come off put back dunks of layups, contrary to his wish of having set plays. Thibodeau noted that Mitchell excels best on the defensive end of the floor. His length and the ability to block shots is his primary asset for the Knicks.

“I know where he’s most efficient in all areas,” Thibodeau said, per Zach Braziller of the New York Post. “The thing I focus on is our team and everyone doing what’s best for the team. And that’s where that lies.”

Over the last few years, clips of Robinson draining shots from deep and from around the perimeter have circulated around the Internet. From the looks of it, he wants to utilize this part of his offensive arsenal with the Knicks. But again, the matter will be in the hands of Thibodeau.
