NBA Draft prospect Darius Garland is scheduled for a last minute workout with the New York Knicks at some point on Wednesday, according to a report from Jonathan Givony of ESPN and Draft Express.

Though his name is often overshadowed by the likes of Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett, Garland is one of the more intriguing prospects in this year's draft.

Garland, now 19 years of age, played in just five games at Vanderbilt before suffering a torn meniscus in his left knee. Despite that fact, he's still being projected as a top pick, as his upside is evident.

In his five appearances with the Commodores, Garland turned in averages of 16.2 points on 53.7 percent shooting from the field (47.8 percent from beyond the arc), 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

Garland missed quite a bit of time due to his injury, but he still believes he is the best guard in this year's draft:

“I humbly say this, I think I'm the best (guard) in the draft,” Garland told ESPN. “I mean, I think I can do everything that an NBA team wants me to do.

“The game is going towards a pick-and-roll and a scoring point guard situation,” Garland added. “So, I think I can do both of those really well. Just choose my spots on the floor and be able to show off the dribble.”

While Garland is confident in his game, most experts are projecting Murray State's Ja Morant to be the first guard taken in the upcoming draft. Let's see what the Knicks, who have the No. 3 overall pick, choose to do.
