No one has a clear idea of what is happening with the New York Knicks, but fans who have kept themselves updated with the Knicks know that they haven't been good enough for much of the 2010s. And after another horrible start to the season, it seems like the franchise's upper brass has had enough of the poor run.

After the Knicks suffered an ugly defeat to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team's executives took to the podium to address the press and the team's frustrated supporters on what has been another disappointing-but-expected start to their season.

“Given that this is our 10th game, we felt like we had an obligation to come and speak to you guys,” [Knicks president Steve] Mills said, per SNY. “Obviously, Scott and I are not happy with where we are right now. We think the team's not performing to the level that we anticipated or we expected to perform at and that's something that we think we have to collectively do a better job of delivering the product on the floor that we said we would do at the start of this season.”

The sudden announcement by the team's big wigs had fans anxious about the future of the Knicks and what it'll look like twelve months from now. Mills' statement was a declaration that the Knicks will not stick with this status quo. While multiple SNY sources confirmed that any imminent changes are not yet on the table, the team's not ruling out the possibility.

New York only won two of their first ten games: one against a disappointing Chicago Bulls team and another versus the Dallas Mavericks as they proved a point to Kristaps Porzingis. The rest of their games have been disappointing defeats.

There's no clear sense of direction as to where the team will head with the way they are, and a shakeup may put them back on the right track. Whether that happens within the following week or the end of the trade deadline is something the team's management only knows.
