It's no secret that the New York Knicks are looking to make some big moves in the offseason. One player that has been rumored to be on their radar is New Orleans Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball, who himself is set to enter free agency in the summer. As it turns out, the feeling might actually be mutual.

According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, the Pelicans might not be able/willing to match Ball's contract demands. This could open the door for a move to the Knicks, which is apparently something that would get the stamp of approval from Lonzo's dad, LaVar Ball:

Ball, the No. 2 pick of the 2017 draft, is a restricted free agent, but the [New Orleans] Pelicans might not match an offer sheet that starts at $19 million…  [Knicks president] Leon Rose knows Lavar from their past when CAA repped the Balls. The father’s eccentricities are not an issue. Sources believe Lavar, a former Jets tight end on the practice squad, wants all his sons on Broadway, and the Knicks are on Lonzo’s radar.

The Knicks have long been linked to a swoop for Lonzo Ball, but this is one of the few times that there has been a report pertaining to his willingness to take his talents to New York. Then again, who wouldn't jump at the opportunity to play in a place like the Madison Square Garden, right?

The fact that LaVar Ball is also interested in uniting his sons in The Big Apple bodes well for the Knicks' chances of landing Lonzo. After all, the ever-outspoken Ball family patriarch still has some influence on his eldest son.

Hold up, does this mean that LaMelo Ball could also be on his way to the Knicks somewhere down the road?
