The New York Knicks could potentially make some big moves when free agency starts on Nov. 20.

According to SNY's Ian Begley, if the Knicks were to acquire guards Chris Paul or Russell Westbrook and trade power forward Julius Randle, they can potentially sign some veterans such as swingman Justin Holiday to fill out the roster.

Furthermore, Begley also said there are people in the organization that believe they can sign Oklahoma City Thunder forward Danilo Gallinari this offseason. It's worth mentioning that Gallinari said that he wants to play for a contender this upcoming season—and the Knicks are currently far away from being contenders. However, if New York is able to trade for Paul or Westbrook and sign Gallinari, they could potentially make some noise in the playoffs.

Another player the Knicks could potentially acquire this offseason is Los Angeles Lakers guard Danny Green. Green, who's coming off a poor shooting season with the Lakers, will be entering the second year of his two-year, $30 million deal he signed in July 2019. Begley reported that the Lakers will be actively trying to trade Green this offseason, and the Knicks do have the cap space to absorb his contract if they do trade for him (however, there is no firm link between Green and the Knicks other than the cap space as of yet). According to Basketball Insiders, the Knicks will have up to $45.8 million in cap space this offseason.

Nevertheless, taking a look at the past few offseasons, the Knicks have shown interest in numerous superstar players. However, at the end of the day, the Knicks end up not signing any of those players.
