The 2019-20 season has not been kind to Utah Jazz point guard Mike Conley and New York Knicks floor general general Elfrid Payton made things even worse for the lefty on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden.

Payton crossed Conley over and finished the highlight play with a nice layup to get the Knicks players off the bench:

When the Jazz acquired Conley from the Memphis Grizzlies, no one expected the veteran to struggle like this, get benched and re-inserted back in the starting lineup.

As for Payton, he could care less about Conley's struggles. The Knicks have been terrible again this season, so any win at home is important for New York.

Payton is in his first season with the Knicks. He came into Wednesday averaging 9.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 7.1 assists in 27.6 minutes per game.
