Not much has gone right for the New York Knicks this season, but second-year center Mitchell Robinson remains a constant source of excitement.

Robinson is a terror of a rim protector, averaging at least 2.0 blocks for the second consecutive season. He is also showing an improved ability to take post defenders off the dribble and finish around the rim. Oh, and he has plenty of athleticism.

The 21-year-old showcased that athleticism on Sunday night against the Detroit Pistons, taking a lob from Knicks point guard Elfrid Payton and finishing with a nifty reverse:

Look at Robinson's head well above the rim.

This is just one of the many spectacular moves Robinson has put on display over the past couple of years. Despite his talents, however, it remains unclear exactly what his role (or future) is in New York. Robinson entered Sunday night's game averaging just 23 minutes per game, and he still has plenty of offensive weaknesses.

Still, Knicks fans will not mind seeing plays like this to distract from the fact they are headed towards another top pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
