During Sunday night's game between the New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks, tempers started to heat up a bit in the fourth quarter when Knicks power forward Kristaps Porzingis and Mavs shooting guard Wesley Matthews got into it on two separate possessions.

With 6:39 left in the final frame, Porzingis was being defended by Matthews and lost the ball. While going after the loose ball, Porzingis hooked the arm of Matthews and the Mavs guard simply wasn't having any of it, as he threw the Unicorn down to the floor. Unfortunately for Kristaps Porzingis, he hooked Wesley Matthews' arm first so the seven-footer was called for a loose ball foul.

Less than one minute later, Matthews was whistled for a personal foul and Porzingis approached him. The two exchanged words and had to be separated by their teammates as well as the officials.

However, Porzingis ended up getting the last laugh on the night as the Knicks were able to hold on to a crucial 100-96 road win over the Mavs at American Airlines Center. As the game's leading scorer, Kristaps Porzingis went off for 29 points and eight rebounds. The fourth overall pick from the 2015 NBA Draft also made 9-of-25 shots from the field and was a perfect 8-of-8 at the charity stripe.

For the Mavs, they have now lost three games in a row by only a combined 10 points. With the win, the Knicks snapped a three-game losing streak and will have a couple of days off before they host the Chicago Bulls at legendary Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.
