2K Sports‘ series of basketball games continue to find ways to add features that put them way above any of their counterparts, and in the run up to NBA 2K17’s September 20th release, that continues to be the case.

The introduction to the game’s ‘My Career’ mode has been leaked and it features the recently retired Los Angeles Lakers legend – Kobe Bryant.

The future Hall Of Famer features in the short vignette alongside The Wire, Friday Night Lights, and Creed actor, the aptly named Michael B. Jordan.

In the video, the pair view a highlight reel that features many key moments of Bryant’s career, to the tune of Jamie XX – I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times).

Jordan then conducts as quasi-interview with Bryant, who answers his questions eloquently. When asked what he will miss about the game, the Laker great gives a frank answer.

“All of it, honestly. The good, the bad. The wins, the losses. It’s a lot like boxing, man. It’s really about the opponent within yourself. That’s the most important, right? You win that battle, then you win the rest of them.”

It was natural that Kobe would within the game, as he graces its cover, as the 2K franchise pay tribute to the basketball great after his final season.
