In what has been a forgettable summer so far for the New York Knicks, some positivity emanates from the mythical world of unicorns.

The dream summer tandem that could potentially result to a player that would rock the NBA world for years to come has finally come to fruition. Kristaps Porzingis is working on his game with no one else but Dirk Nowitzki.

As good as the freakishly long and athletic Latvian is, he’s only bound to get meaner, and what better way to reach, or break, that ceiling than with the help of arguably the greatest big man shooter of all-time.

The two international sensation are currently in South Africa for the 2017 NBA Africa Game to be held on Saturday. As such, a photo that spells hope, for the Knicks, and fear, for opponents, came out on Instagram.

Porzingis had always wanted to hone his skills under the tutelage of Nowitzki, and this could only be a taste of what’s to come for the Knicks and Mavs stalwarts since they’re only together for an exhibition game.

The promise of a bright future in New York takes a step forward as Kristaps Porzingis slowly, but surely, grinds through the summer to come out a better all-around player.
