The trend of funding a charity of choice to incentivize a point of improvement or statistical category has caught on throughout the league, and New York Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis hasn't fallen behind.

After recording 134 blocked shots throughout his rookie season, the 7-foot-3 unicorn has pledged to donate $500 for every block to RENS, a New York basketball program with more than 225 players between the ages of seven through 17.

The campaign's funds will be used for scholarship money to help pay tuitions for Catholic, private, and prep schools around NYC.

The Latvian international was barely above a blocked shot per game prior to the “KrisStops” program, raising his average to 1.9 per game to rank seventh in the NBA after blocking 43 shots within the past five weeks when the campaign first took off.

Longtime Knicks season-ticket holder Keith Rubenstein, who is also the founder of Somerset Partners, announced he was matching Porzingis' contribution for $1,000 per block.

Between Porzingis and Rubenstein, the KrisStops program has now raised $64, 500, less than halfway through the season.
