Already considered as one of the most difficult players to match-up with, New York Knicks big man Kristaps Porzingis is finding ways to further improve his game and become a better basketball player.

Speaking to Ian Begley of ESPN, the 7-foot-3 Latvian discussed what will be the biggest difference maker in his game coming into his second season in the NBA.

Kristaps Porzingis says one of the biggest differences for him heading into Year 2 is the strength of his legs:

“I'm able to run a little more. I'm feeling way better this year, physically. I still think I have a long way to go to get in my prime, physically.”

Porzingis' lanky frame and lack of bulk was one of the critique against him during his rookie season. Although he thrives more by facing the basket, it will certainly help him if he has stronger legs because it will allow him to post-up his usually smaller defenders and rebound better. Given his height and ability to shoot from the perimeter, he'll be an even bigger nightmare to opposing coaches during games.

With more strength in his lower limbs now and a ton of experience gained from his first season, expectations are higher than ever for the 21-year-old. Though he has a new role with the team due to the addition of key pieces to their lineup, he still has a good chance to eclipse his numbers last year and perform even better.

It will surely be an exciting season for Porzingis and the new-look Knicks as they hope that this will be the year they make it back to the playoffs and become a contender once again.
