Kyler Murray probably didn't need a good or even a great Pro Day. The Heisman Trophy winner needed to show up, complete a number of pass attempts, and let the media take it from there.

Mission accomplished.

Murray, who could be the number one selection in the upcoming NFL Draft, had taken some criticism during the NFL Combine. Interviewing may not be his strong suit, but if his workout on Wednesday in Norman is an indication, it's a minor concern if any.

Jim Zorn, former head coach of the Washington Redskins for two seasons, took part in Wednesday’s workout with Murray. As for the Heisman Trophy winner, the reviews were positive.

With 75 NFL personnel representing all 32 teams, the full house watched Murray toss it around effectively. As for the workout, he did not run, but only threw the football. He also skipped having his height measured again but he did record his weight at 205 lbs. Slightly lighter than his combine weight.

The session, which was about only throwing the football, saw Murray execute 66 passes. Included were some under center, deep and short throws, as well as intermediate and from the shotgun.

Zorn, who was hired by Team Murray to help with training, said teams would not be disappointed by what the saw:

“None of them would go away from this workout being disappointed at all that he wouldn't run a 40. I think they have to be pretty excited. What I told him afterward is he ought to feel really good about what he just did. He was very convincing.”

For those who have openly wondered about his commitment to football, the speculation should be put to rest, though admitting he still loves baseball: “I can't play both. So, is it out of my system? I don't know. I guess. It's a weird question.”

Wednesday in Norman may not definitely answer who the No. #1 overall pick may be. Meaning, Arizona has a lot to think about between now and opening night of the draft.
