Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is feeling the disrespect — and he's grateful for it.

On Thursday, James took to Twitter and Instagram to react to an ESPN poll of NBA scouts and executives in which the Lakers' 36-year old superstar, a four-time MVP, received zero votes for the current best player in the NBA (Kevin Durant and Giannis Antekounmpo split the vote).

First, James replied to the hashtag #Washed with his own hashtag, #SUPERWASHED. He then responded to the poll via his IG story, with his signature #WashedKing caption.

A few minutes later, James penned a “thank you” message to all the haters out there for the extra motivation heading into his 19th NBA season, in which he will try to lift the Lakers back to the top.

James has been on this tune for a while. Perceived disrespect has been a common talking point for James since his speech following Game 6 of the 2020 NBA Finals and his first world title with the Lakers. The 36-year old frequently deployed the #WashedKing hashtag throughout the past two seasons.

Earlier this summer, James (twice) posted then (twice) deleted tweets expressing his utmost gratitude to those doubting the new-look Lakers following the Russell Westbrook trade and a bevy of veteran signings. Los Angeles will begin the 2021-22 season with one of the oldest yet most prolific rosters in NBA history. It's a chance to once again quiet the skeptics, which LeBron has done many times before in  shimmering, two-decade journey.

At least the folks at NBA 2K are showing James the love as he continues with the Lakers. LeBron was given a 96 rating for 2K22, tying him with Durant, Antetokounmpo, and Stephen Curry as the highest-rated players in the game. However, the #WashedKing still voiced his outrage on behalf of KD and Curry, whom he felt were underrated and disrespected.
