The Los Angeles Lakers are 1-1 so far since the NBA's resumption of the 2019-20 season in Orlando, and head coach Frank Vogel knows there are two crucial elements of their offense that must improve.

As part of his media availability on Monday, Vogel noted that the team needs to improve on all aspects of their offense. However, he specifically pointed to spacing and screening as areas that need the most attention:

Clearly, screening and spacing are the issues on Vogel's mind, and he'll be looking for his team to improve in those fields.

The Lakers defeated the Clippers in thrilling fashion as part of the NBA's bubble opener, 103-101. Lakers superstar LeBron James had a slow start offensively, not scoring until the second and third quarters. He seemed to be more focused on facilitating at first, though he did finish with 16 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists.

For their second bubble game, the Lakers took on the defending champion Toronto Raptors. Kyle Lowry had a big game, notching 33 points and 14 rebounds to give the Raptors an 11th straight victory over the Lakers, 107-92. For the record, the Lakers shot a season-low 35.4 percent from the field against Toronto. Could spacing and screening have played a role? Perhaps this is why Vogel is focused on these areas.

The Lakers will be back in action on Monday night, when they'll take on the Utah Jazz. Tip-off is set for 9:00 p.m. ET, with ESPN having live broadcast coverage.
