Last season marked Alex Caruso's first time experiencing the high-octane atmosphere of the NBA playoffs with the Lakers and Rajon Rondo. Winning the is definitely up there in his resume. But in a recent interview, Caruso admitted that the win-or-go-home environment of the postseason is something he's craving for again.

Caruso appeared on “The Long Shot” with Duncan Robinson and Davis Reid where he recalled his postseason experience with the Lakers and how he misses it so much. Of course, Caruso is not taking the regular season lightly. But the playoff basketball is just different.

“Going through the playoffs, man … the playoffs are so addicting. It’s so much fun (with the Lakers). It’s so much fun to play in the playoffs because, like, everything is intense, everything matters.

I’m not saying regular season doesn’t matter, but there’s definitely the same attention to detail, there’s not the same intensity, there’s not the same ‘do-or-die’ mentality that you get with the playoffs.

Honestly, man, like looking back now, in the regular season, these games are like … I’m like, ‘these are fun, I like playing basketball in the NBA,’ for sure, but I cannot wait to get back to the playoffs again.”

From the looks of it, playing on the Lakers with veteran point guard Rajon Rondo influenced Caruso's attitude. Everyone knows how much of a beast “Playoff Rondo” is. Rondo's former teammates have told a bunch of stories about the guard's competitiveness and supreme basketball IQ.

The good thing for Caruso is that the Lakers will likely head to the playoffs again. In fact, it's highly-expected that they'll make a deep run and even snag their second consecutive title.
