Following the Los Angeles Lakers' 124-114 win in Game of the Finals against the Miami Heat, rumblings about what many consider to be an impending championship continue to get louder and louder. For Lakers guard Alex Caruso, though, now is not the time to lose focus.

According to the 26-year-old guard, the title is anything but guaranteed at this point:

“Until we win four games, we haven’t accomplished our goal,” Caruso said, via Alex Kennedy of BasketballNews.com. “It’s been over a year together and we’ve talked about the same goal from Day One. We’re still here chasing that same goal. Until we get four wins, we’re staying hungry.”

The Lakers are a very experienced squad, and they completely understand what's at stake here. They may have a significant 2-0 advantage in the series, but like we've seen many times in the past, it's never over until it's actually over.

Caruso provided some quality minutes for L.A. on Friday, logging six points on 2-of-5 shooting, including two triples, two rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 23 minutes of play along with his steady diet of defensive stops and hustle play. He's by no means a star on this powerhouse side, but there's no denying that he's been a key piece in this team's rotation all season long.

The Lakers will be back in action on Sunday for Game 3. Another win there would virtually secure the title for L.A., but even so, we wouldn't expect Caruso or the rest of the Lakers to let up until the fat lady sings.
