Los Angeles Lakers point guard Alex Caruso is undoubtedly a fan favorite. And as was the case for many players before him, being a fan favorite comes with many unique nicknames.

Whether it be nicknames from fans or from his own teammates, the third-year pro is no stranger to these monikers.

However, some of the nicknames stand above the rest and the Lakers guard certainly has favorites. In a chat with Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne on Bleacher Report's YouTube channel, Caruso talked about which nicknames were his favorites.

De Bruyne brought up Caruso's long list of nicknames. However, the Lakers playmaker admitted that having such is something fairly new to him.

“I didn’t until I moved to L.A. It used to just be ‘AC’ to everybody, and now it’s ‘The White Mamba,’ ‘The Bald Mamba,’ ‘The Bald Eagle,’ ‘The Accountant,’ ‘The Carushow…,” Caruso said (h/t Silver Screen and Roll).

While Caruso is also called the GOAT by teammates like LeBron James, it is not his favorite nickname.

“I like Carushow. I think that one is a nice little play on words, because it’s Lake Show. Lake Show was like back in like the 70s and 80s with Magic and Kareem and they were winning, and running up and down the floor, they called in the Lake Show just because it was a show right? It was just constant action, dunks, flashy passes. And then Caruso, Carushow, it just kind of ran together and they went with it,” Caruso explained.

Caruso has played a solid role off the bench for the Lakers in the suspended 2019-20 season. In 58 games, Caruso averaged 5.4 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists while playing 17.8 minutes a contest.

While the former Texas A&M star doesn't look like much of an athlete, he has shown flashes of fantastic athleticism and hustle despite his outward appearance — rightfully earning the “Carushow” nickname.

Alex Caruso signed a two-year, $5.5 million deal with the Lakers in July and will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
