Los Angeles Lakers guard Alex Caruso is now officially considered a city legend after a mural was crafted in his honor.

Peep the Caruso mural made by artist Gustavo Zermeño Jr in partnership with Sportie LA. As seen, the artwork features Caruso about to slam one down over NBA stars Jamal Murray, James Harden, Devin Booker, Kawhi Leonard, and Luka Doncic.

Below is a photo of the mural-in-the-making. The artist has made tons of murals over LA featuring Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Nipsey Hussle, Dr. Dre, and city legends.

Alex Caruso has acquired quite a following in LA as well as in the basketball world. Fans and his teammates affectionately call him the GOAT for his stellar play on both ends of the floor.

From an undrafted guard who started in the G League to one of the most important players for the Lakers, Caruso has certainly defied expectations. And this isn't all hype. LeBron James — arguably the best player in the league — showered Caruso with praise. Per Christian Rivas of SB Nation:

“He’s just gotten better and better every single minute he’s on the floor,” James, said earlier this week after booting out the Denver Nuggets to move on to the NBA Finals. “(And) he’s still learning. Every game is still a learning experience for him because he’s so new to the NBA. He played a lot of his minutes over the course of his early stages in the G League. But first time I saw him, and seeing him in some of our practices, it wasn’t the sneaky athleticism. It was the way that he defended and how cerebral he played the game.”

Without a doubt, Caruso deserves a mural. He's one hell of a basketball player who has worked hard to get where he is today.
