The Los Angeles Lakers have a ton of question marks heading into the offseason. One of the biggest, quite literally, is their free agent mid-season acquisition Andre Drummond.

On a recent appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast, the Lakers big man gave a hilarious hint towards where he was leaning to play next season. Two words:

“Shanghai, China.”

Obviously, Drummond isn't serious about leaving the Lakers to move continents. But at least he's in on the “playing in China” gag that NBA Twitter has for underperforming stars. Plus points for you, Andre.

He's actually been vocal about hoping to stay in Los Angeles, as he revealed during an interview via the @lakersalldayeveryday Instagram page.

“This is an incredible time in my career to play with LeBron James instead of against him … Hopefully, things go the right way, and we’ll try to run it back again.”

The Lakers big man was definitely a polarizing figure during his brief stint in La La Land. He was an All-Star addition to a roster that had just won the championship and was sorely in need of healthy bodies with both LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the sidelines. But the reality of it was that the league has trended away from Drummond's style of play for a while now, and his fit with the rest of the roster was rather questionable.

But perhaps a full offseason and training camp would be exactly what he needs to mesh with his co-stars. We'll find out if the Lakers ultimately do bring back Andre Drummond to keep him away from Shanghai, China.
