Anthony Davis has extra weeks to recuperate from the rash of injuries he suffered this season. The Los Angeles Lakers big man saw his campaign come to an abrupt end after injuring his groin against the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Playoffs. But while he's welcoming the extended rest, he's already thinking of how to bounce back as well.

Davis admitted they had a mediocre offensive showing against the Suns and that's one facet he and LeBron James will look into during their long break (via Lakers Nation).

“We’ll go back, I know me and Bron will for sure and the coaches will too, go back and look at this series. This wasn’t a great offensive series for us and figure out action that’s more effective with me and Bron in it together or individually and then continue to grow looking at the season overall and where we were effective this season.”

The Lakers only averaged 97.5 points in six games against the Suns, with LeBron having his lowest scoring average ever in the NBA Playoffs. Anthony Davis scored back-to-back 30-point games in their two wins but obviously couldn't replicate it during his short return.

What they could do though is to tinker with the roster and find better offensive schemes for next season to allow Davis and LeBron, plus Andre Drummond and Dennis Schroder, to become a more cohesive unit.

“Just think about new actions that they can get involved in, watching other teams and some good action from other teams. And it’s also based on personnel, the team that we have. So we’ll think about it when we get closer to next season as far as schemes and plays and things like that for me and Bron.”

Sounds like Anthony Davis is going to be a busy man.
