With 16 championships, the Los Angeles Lakers have a rich playoff history that includes several game-winners. Anthony Davis joined that list after he sank a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to help the Lakers beat the Denver Nuggets, 105-103, in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.

With that shot, which Davis called the biggest of his career, he joins a list of distinguished players to have made game-winning shots for the Purple and Gold. The last one to have made a similar shot in the Western Conference Finals, according to Elias Sports, was forward Robert Horry, and it is a shot that Lakers fans remember well and Sacramento Kings fans would rather forget.

It was 18 years ago when Horry hit a game-winning shot from beyond the arc to beat the Kings, 100-99, in Game 4 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals:

Horry, who played for Los Angeles for seven seasons from 1996-2003, made a name for himself by coming up big in clutch moments in the playoffs, earning the name Big Shot Bob. That shot to beat the Kings was just one of them, as the Lakers avoided a 3-1 deficit against Sacramento and eventually won the series in seven games en route to a third straight title.

Horry averaged 6.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists while he was with the Lakers. Now 18 years later, and Davis has etched himself in Lakers lore with a game-winner of his own in his first year wearing the Purple and Gold. Davis and the Lakers hope to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the series when they face the Nuggets in Game 3 of their series on Tuesday night.
