Two-time champion Rajon Rondo has made a name for himself as one of the best court generals in the NBA. The Atlanta Hawks point guard has been in the league for 17 seasons now and was an elite level for the majority of those years. After winning his second ring with the Los Angeles Lakers last season, Rondo cemented his status to being an all-time great court leader and if he chooses to pursue a career in coaching, his former teammate Anthony Davis has his back.

Rondo and Davis met for the first time again on Monday when the Lakers visited the Hawks. After their win, AD opened up on his thoughts on Rondo's future if ever he ends up calling the shots in the NBA (via Ryan Ward of Lakers Daily).

Seeing what Rondo has accomplished in his illustrious career in the NBA, Davis' prediction isn't too far off. While he's known to have his hot-headed moments, the 34-year-old playmaker is known for his cerebral approach to the game and great leadership. He was a crucial member of last year's Lakers championship squad with Anthony Davis and LeBron James. Same thing in 2008 when he won his first chip with the Boston Celtics.

Rondo has led the NBA in assists thrice and is a four-time All-NBA Defensive Team member. There have been a handful of smart PGs like Avery Johnson, Jason Kidd, and more recently, Steve Nash who have transitioned into being a coach in the NBA. It's not too hard to imagine Rondo joining the list sooner rather than later.
