Anthony Davis hilariously put in sleeper hold by Rudy Gay

Anthony Davis, Rudy Gay

Rudy Gay just put Anthony Davis on a sleeper hold.

As a joke. No need to get all riled up.

The two were tied up on the floor on Thursday after Gay was called for a blocking foul as Davis drove to the basket. The Sacramento Kings forward decided to bring out his inner John Cena and choke Davis. Good thing the Los Angeles Lakers superstar took the joke lightly as both players were seen laughing it out.

Is this the only way to stop AD and the Lakers?

The full play between Davis and Gay will provide your daily dose of chuckles.

Gay has been a key piece in Gregg Popovich’s reserve unit and it’s nice to see him smile and play loose out there. He’s been putting up decent numbers for the Spurs so far this season as they try to march their way back to playoff contention. Before their game against the Lakers, Rudy Gay was putting up 12.7 points and 4.9 rebounds off the bench.

Anthony Davis, meanwhile, picked up where he left off last season. In seven games so far, Davis has averaged 22.3 points and 9.0 boards, while also being a menace defensively, to lead the Lakers to a 6-2 record. Alongside LeBron James, AD and the rest of the Purple & Gold crew look to dominate the NBA once again and defend their crown.
