As they should, Anthony Davis and LeBron James led the way for the Los Angeles Lakers in their crucial 116-108 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. James and Davis both have had monstrous nights together like they did on Saturday night. Throughout the season, the Lakers' superstar tandem has shown tremendous chemistry alongside each other.

Their on-court connection also stems from their great off-court relationship. Asked about why his personality with The King works so well, Davis decided to have some fun and make a lighthearted joke about their relationship.

AD then explained that they're just “two big brothers” who like to have fun, playing video games, and spending their time off with each other. This has been a great benefit for the team on the court.

Davis spoke about this after their Game 3 victory:

As AD mentioned, the two clicked instantly when Davis arrived in Los Angeles last summer. It didn't take long for James to build on his relationship with his new partner-in-crime. LeBron and AD were often seen hanging out with each other. They even celebrated Taco Tuesday at the James crib on multiple occasions.

As noted, James and Davis dominated in Game 3 to push Los Angeles to a 2-1 series lead over Portland. Both almost notched triple-doubles on Saturday, as well. James registered 38 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists. Meanwhile, Davis dropped 29 points, 11 boards, and eight dimes.

After losing Game 1, the Lakers have strung together two straight dominant games, especially in the second half. Davis, James, and the Lakers look to take a commanding 3-1 on Monday, which is also “Mamba Day.”
