There has been quite a bit of speculation about Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis potentially playing for his hometown Chicago Bulls one day.

Davis is a free agent at the end of the season, and he didn't exactly rule out the possibility of joining the Bulls when he was asked about it several months ago.

But for now, Davis will just have to settle for playing for the Lakers while journeying back to Chicago for the All-Star game.

The festivities will be in the Windy City this year, and Davis is looking forward to a good time:

“I’m pretty sure it’s going to be crazy going back home. I’ll have a lot going on,” Davis said, according to Mark Medina of USA TODAY Sports. “It’s going to be insane. It’s going to be cold. And it’s going to be fun. I’m excited to come back home to see fans, friends and family.”

As for what the Laker star will do in his downtime?

“I see my family and that’s it,” Davis said earlier in the year. “Usually when I go back, we always have a day to relax. My family usually tries to throw something at the house or they usually come down to the hotel and we go to dinner or lunch.”

Davis, who spent his first seven NBA seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans (formerly the Hornets), was traded to the Lakers last June.

However, in spite of his desire to play alongside of LeBron James in Los Angeles, the soon-to-be-27-year-old did not sign a contract extension, as he intends to hit the free-agent market this summer.

Davis is averaging 26.5 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game this season for the Lakers.
