Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis is a phenomenal basketball player, but his Achilles' heel has always been injuries. This time, the issue is literally his Achilles. Davis is classified as questionable for the Lakers' matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday because of tendonosis of his right Achilles tendon, but it's looking like he's going to miss the game.

Per ESPN's Dave McMenamin, Davis has been dealing with discomfort for some time, in addition to recently missing time with a bruised quad. Medical imaging of the Achilles tendon showed that it is fine, but Davis has been feeling some tightness in his leg, which is a bit worrisome.

AD hasn't been quite as dominant this season, averaging 22.2 points, 8.6 boards, 3.2 assists and 1.9 blocks in 33.6 minutes per game. He is shooting better from the field at 53.0% percent, but his 3-point percentage is down to 31.5% and he's just over 70% on free throws.

Davis recently addressed the notion that he hasn't been as impactful this season:

“I don't rely on offense for me to have a great season. I'm doing everything I can on the defensive end. … When you're a two-way player, you don't have to rely on one aspect of the game with just scoring. I can help my team win on the defensive end and make shots when I need to.”

While the numbers aren't all there this season, the athletic big man is still a cheat code on both ends of the floor who gives the Lakers versatility in their lineups. Los Angeles is a dominant 18-6 this season even with Anthony Davis' numbers a bit down.
