Los Angeles Lakers superstar power forward Anthony Davis says he's not even thinking about free agency at all.

Davis can become an unrestricted free agent after this season ends if he declines his 2020-21 player option with the Lakers. AD is expected to decline that option.

However, no one in NBA circles believes Davis is going to leave the Lakers. The expectation is that he will sign a long-term deal with LA:

“I have no idea about free agency right now,” Davis said, via NBC Chicago. “I'm worried about this season and what I can do to focus on helping the Lakers win this year and then when that time comes, then come do an interview with me then, we'll figure it out.”

The Lakers offered Davis a four-year, $146 million max contract extension in January, but they were informed that he will be bypassing an in-season extension in favor of entering unrestricted free agency in July.

In his first season with the Lakers, Anthony Davis has been a monster on both ends of the court. He’s averaging 26.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.4 blocks while shooting 51.9 percent from the field, 31.6 percent from beyond the arc and 85.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Lakers have the best record in the Western Conference. They went 41-12 during the first half of the season.

With LeBron James and Davis leading the way, the Lakers have a great shot of winning the NBA title come June.
