Anthony Davis was forced to exit the Los Angeles Lakers' Friday night game against the Minnesota Timberwolves for the second time due to what the team diagnosed as knee contusion.

Davis sustained the injury in the third quarter of the contest after Jaden McDaniels rolled on his ankle while falling. It was so bad the Davis collapsed in the tunnel while trying to go to the locker room.

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Lakers confirmed the injury but Davis will still undergo further testing in Chicago–where they'll play the Chicago Bulls on Sunday–to determine the severity and extent of the issue.

Seeing how Anthony Davis injure his left knee and fall in the tunnel are certainly scary sights even those not faithfully following the Lakers. Making matters worse, he also injured his right ankle earlier in the game.

Davis tweaked his ankle in the final minute of the first quarter after some scrambling under the basket that saw him seem to trip on Timberwolves forward Naz Reid. He had to leave to the locker room, albeit rather briefly as he returned in the second quarter.

The Lakers are certainly hoping Davis' injury is not that serious and won't force him to miss time. They are already without some key players due to COVID-19 protocols, and they surely can't afford to lose any more healthy bodies in their bid to climb the West.
