For Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis, no words can fully describe the feeling of finally winning an NBA championship for the first time in his eight-year playing career. That was how he would put it as he recently posted his first message on Instagram following their championship victory.

The former Kentucky Wildcat was a crucial piece all throughout the Lakers' championship run this season. He followed behind the leadership of veteran star Lebron James who led the team from the forefront with his abundant playoff experience.

Davis also encountered some rough patches during a handful of games in the 2020 NBA Playoffs. However, he managed to step up and deliver for his Lakers team when it mattered the most. Down by a point, he memorably sank a buzzer-beating, game-winning three-pointer to lift the Lakers to a huge 2-0 series lead over the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals.

Despite having a dismal Game 3 performance haunted by early foul trouble and limited productivity, Davis bounced back in their following game of the series. He iced their Game 4 win against the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals with a cold-blooded three-pointer to give his team a comfortable nine-point lead with 39.5 seconds left in the game.

The seven-time All-Star finished with a double-double performance of 19 points, 15 rebounds through 35 minutes of action to help fend off the Heat and close the series in Game 6 with a 106-93 victory.

The Lakers' successful championship run in 2020 could only be the start of greater things to come for Davis' career moving forward.
