Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis is set to return to New Orleans on November 27th, a quick return to the franchise that housed him for the first seven years of his career.

Davis ended his career with the Pelicans on a rough note.

After several dominant seasons in New Orleans, Davis demanded a trade when he felt that the franchise was not going in the direction he wanted it to.

This led to a drawn-out drama in the middle of the 2018-19 season. Rumors flew that Davis was on the verge of being traded to either the Boston Celtics or the Lakers, but the trade deadline came and went with AD still a member of the Pelicans.

Because of the disagreement, Davis ended up either playing limited minutes or completely sitting out many of New Orlean's last games as the season came to a close. The divide between Davis and the team had become too large to bridge.

In the offseason, Davis was finally granted his wish and traded to the Lakers for a haul of young talent and future picks. The Lakers got their superstar sidekick for LeBron James, and the Pelicans got plenty of tools to rebuild on the fly.

Now, we'll get to see the two teams meet in just a few months. Let's see how the Pelicans faithful greet their former franchise star when he returns to the arena where he built his name.
