Los Angeles Lakers power forward Anthony Davis is under the weather along with other players possessing “flu-like symptoms, according to head coach Frank Vogel.

Fortunately, per Lakers reporter Mike Trudell, the first-year L.A. coach does not think the flu bug going around will prevent anybody from missing Tuesday night's matchup with the Denver Nuggets.

The Lakers are visiting the Nuggets in the Mile High City after suffering their third loss of the season through 20 games, losing by 14 points to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. The weekend's defeat to Luka Doncic and Co. snapped a 10-game winning streak by Vogel's group.

Davis — acquired by L.A. in a blockbuster trade in June for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and multiple first-round draft picks — has been immaculate for the Lakers so far. While donning the Purple and Gold, “The Brow” has averaged 26.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while shooting 47.9 percent from the field and 34.4 percent from 3-point range.

Hopefully for the Lakers' sake, Davis will feel hale and hearty enough to give it a go against Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets. Otherwise, LA will have to rely on other options, including All-Star forward LeBron James and rising star power forward Kyle Kuzma.

Davis “promised” that the Lakers would recover this week after losing to the Mavs.

“Our whole thing is we don’t want to lose two in a row ever. There’s definitely going to be a bounce back game,” Davis said.

Despite dealing with flu-like symptoms, AD can deliver on his promise by having a “flu game” of his own against the Nuggets.
