Anthony Davis will reportedly explore free agency in the summer of 2020, with the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers as his top two teams, according to Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report.

Davis becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2020. The Lakers agreed to a trade with the New Orleans Pelicans to acquire Davis in June. All signs point toward AD signing a long-term extension with Los Angeles, but it looks like the superstar is going to do his due diligence first.

The '20 class is not nearly as star-studded as this summer, but there is a handful of intriguing names. The unrestricted list is led by Davis, who league sources say has vowed to explore free agency with the Knicks and the Lakers as his top two teams.

It would shock a lot of people if Anthony Davis doesn't re-sign with the Lakers. LeBron James signed a four-year deal with Los Angeles last offseason. James has a player option for the 2021-22 season, one which he will likely pick up unless something changes in LA. LeBron and Davis, of course, have the same agent — Rich Paul of Klutch Sports.

Davis, one of the best players in the game, has career averages of 23.7 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists. The Lakers are hoping Kawhi Leonard signs with them so they can have a lethal Big 3.
