Anthony Davis has some major doubters to silence coming into next season, and it looks like the Los Angeles Lakers big man is putting the work in to shush them.
After getting clowned on for admitting a few weeks back that he had not touched a basketball in months, Anthony Davis has since been visibly breaking a sweat on social media. The Lakers star has gotten reps with famous trainer Lethal Shooter, who recently spilled some of what AD has been working on each and every day:
Anthony Davis been locked in! Training everyday at 4:50am is what it takes! After 400makes, FT’s are key! To be the best if you need to be up before the rest. More work to be done this summer! 🏁 🎯 @AntDavis23. -Stay locked in! #NBA #LethalShooter

They've been at it for a while now, with Lethal Shooter posting them linking up just days after the “not touched a basketball” admission went viral. There's no question Anthony Davis is determined to remind the world just what a dominant presence he is when healthy:

“I haven’t shot a basketball since April 5th.”

Anthony Davis had a down year as a shooter last season, after making serious strides as an outside threat during their 2020 championship year. He averaged a brutal 18.6 percent from 3-point range and 71.3 percent from the line, both career lows for him ever since he started taking 3s consistently.
But hard work more often than not bears fruit. It's a safe bet that the Lakers star will have a much sweeter stroke next season next to LeBron James if he continues at this pace with one of the best known shooting coaches in the league.
